What We Do

At Sol Playschool, we honour childhood by nurturing the whole child, mind, body, heart, and imagination. Guided by an emergent, play-based approach rooted in nature, children learn through open-ended, self-directed play and everyday experiences.

We create space for curiosity, movement, and discovery, allowing confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging to grow naturally.

Rather than being shaped by a single voice, Sol Playschool is the result of collective effort. Educators, consultants, staff, and community partners all contribute to a shared vision supporting children’s curiosity, well-being, and sense of belonging through thoughtful, intentional practice.

La Casa

Infants & Toddlers (12 months – 2.9 years)

Our infant and toddler group is welcomed into La Casa, a warm, home-like environment designed to support secure relationships, early exploration, and a strong sense of belonging. At this stage, learning happens through connection, routine, movement, and play.

Educators provide a calm, responsive space where children feel safe to explore, build trust, and develop independence at their own pace. Daily experiences include outdoor time, music, language, sensory play, and hands-on exploration, thoughtfully woven into the natural rhythms of the day and the life of the group.

El Estudio

Preschoolers (3 – 5 years)

Our preschool group thrives in El Estudio, a light-filled, open learning space designed to support curiosity, creativity, and growing independence. The environment invites exploration, collaboration, and deeper engagement with materials, ideas, and peers.

Learning emerges from children’s interests through play-based and project-oriented experiences, both indoors and outdoors. Educators support this process by observing closely, offering meaningful materials, and protecting time for deep, uninterrupted play.

Across both La Casa and El Estudio, Sol Playschool is a Spanish-immersion bilingual environment, where language is woven naturally into play, routines, music, and storytelling. Families are valued as partners and honored as children’s first teachers, helping to build a connected, respectful, and supportive learning community.
